Timelines vary depending on the rarity of the title. Common out-of-print works can often be located within two to four weeks. Genuinely rare first editions or manuscripts may require several months of active searching. We provide realistic estimates upfront and keep you informed throughout the process.
Do you work with clients outside Quebec?
Absolutely. While our workshop is based in Gatineau, we serve clients across every Canadian province and territory. We also accept projects from the United States and Europe. Consultations are conducted by phone, video call, or email, and we arrange insured shipping for physical items.
What does book restoration cost?
Costs depend on the extent of damage and the type of binding. Minor repairs such as re-gluing a loose spine start at around $80 per volume. Full rebinding or conservation-grade treatment for fragile historical texts can range from $300 to $1,200. We always provide a written quote before beginning any work.
Can you appraise a book collection for insurance purposes?
